Training yourself not to think about The Game is nearly impossible, and often counter-productive. The best strategies involve causing others to lose more than yourself.
The best way to do this is to always announce your loss to as many people as possible. This reminds current players about The Game and initiates new ones.
It is very difficult to consciously cause someone to lose without losing yourself. You can try and cause others to associate objects or events with The Game. For example, you could tell a friend that whenever they see their bed they will lose. This can back-fire unless well thought out, in this example you could end up associating your bed with loss. An object which is only found in your friend’s room would be a better target. another example would be a sound your friend hears more often than you, such as the theme tune to a TV show that they watch but you don’t.
Reminders
A much less subtle technique involves leaving reminders in places that will be seen by others more than yourself. This could include graffiti, notes & signs, forum posts, messenger names, answerphone messages and much more.
Wearing a Game t-shirt should cause everyone around you to lose without you losing yourself. It also initiates new players with ease.
Other Languages
Around 500 million people speak English. The Game’s translation into Mandarin creates another billion potential losers of The Game. 500 million people speak Hindi. Spanish = 400 million. Arabic = 250 million. Indonesian = 200 million etc… If you speak any language other than English, please translate the rules for us here.

Use losethegame.com to initiate people into The Game in situations where the rules cannot be explained. For example, writing on bank notes (dollar bills) will lead players to the rules via this site.

If you have access to a vehicle, make a sign to go on the back window. This one was made using tape, marker pen and Tipp-Ex (correction fluid):

Lose The Game
In case you haven’t just lost The Game, now is the time to do so. You are thinking about The Game, and have therefore just lost. To make the most of your loss, you should try and tell people who may end up losing in front of lots of people, or on TV or radio. Here are some suggestions:
