TableConsiderations …
Since I use Tables a lot, I found ‘long tables’ and the required markup quite interesting. At this time, my interests include;
- Writing some text to;
- Present my Observations of how “A1” (spreadsheet nomenclature for the Upper Left cell) is the most important screen “real estate” in written languages that flow left-to-right and top-to-bottom.
- This should build on the concepts in Mb:AboveTheFold.
- It should also expand the spread sheet analogy that I am successfully using to introduce arrays to some audiences, finally achieving a greater degree of successfull comprehension since people have become much more familiar with spreadsheets now that Excel is accepted, than they were in the days of visiCalc.
- Introduce a fundamental reminder that a matrix is merely the simplest form of an ‘n-dimensional’ array.
- Build on this, the concept that all of the ‘pages’ in the (web) universe can be thought of as cells in an infinitely large N-dimensional, ragged array.
- …
- Provide some examples of the Mb:WxWikiServer TransClusion capabilities that allow Pages to be included within the cells of a table, with extensive nesting.
- I successfully tested more than a dozen levels of nesting.
- Prove the effectiveness and efficiencies that result from combining these TransClusion, nested Tables and Wiki:OnceAndOnlyOnce concepts.
- Create some examples of the value of applying these views in common situations, in the hopes of showing wiki developers enough benefit, that they will expand the existing capabilities. /.
