Some Observations…
- Mapping “balloons” are likely to be too limieted to accomodate much more than thumbnail images and hyperlinks to pages that contain supporting text.
- It really is difficult to edit the balloon’s displayed text areas.
- HwoPages needs to be adequate to ensure that all that is necessary is to update the InterMap table to publish for an expanding set of Audiences.
- various mapping systems have argument variations …

A few rough comments…
- Segment scope:
- DfxDan? - "italics" font
- Hwo - “regular” font
- Most of the DfxMappingHelp should probably reside on our servers, leaving just that bit of help that wiull be needed to support usage by those people that which to take advantage of the Open Source geocoding capabilities were developing.
- the https implies Secure.
- are passwords required from externals?
- I did not need to provide one, even when I edited a pin.
- Right now anybody (who knows the URL) can come in and change pins. I didn't implement any password protection. Should I do that?
- I don’t think it’s necessary at this time, unless there is a chance that we will have much more difficulty adding a password protection feature to this version in the future, when we need one.
- NiagaraFall? pin pops up an image (which not all of them do).
- how?
- You can enter direct HTML markup when adding a pin (via the 'HTML' field). The markup you enter gets rendered as part of the popup window.
- how do I control the menu of presented locations?
- Every pin shown on the map is also displayed in the menu. Should I implement a filtering feature so you can selectively display pins in the menu?
- It may make selse to implement this as a Tag that can be used to filter the displayed items, since I wold like to be as ‘generic’ as possible and this is the way that FlickR seems to do it.
- add a “confirm’ to the DELete?
- Should it be possible to pull Geocodes out of a displayed map as an XML table?
- Ideally, people should be able to do this so that they can at least get at the codes that they (or the groups that they are members of) have assigned.
- Implemented as a link at the bottom: "Get Pins as XML"
<a><img src="http://static.flickr.com/122/266987199_3e4110bed2_m.jpg" /></a>
- deliberately broken, since the API and Oddmuse have different needs.
