It’s a 90-mile drive to Morton so there’s no rush to leave this morning.
We bob-tail back toward town and find an eatery on the outer edge of a big shopping center. Among the stores is a Radio Shack.
The laptop doesn’t like the 12 volt charger that Carl uses for his shaver. As soon as the laptop is plugged into it, it quits.
We check with Radio Shack and they can solve the problem for an exchange of cash.
Before we leave the parking lot, we test it and find that, lo!, it works. Life is good.
Caterpiller
rubber tracks 25,000 pounds per load; steel tracks 15,000 pounds per track.
area around Morton has many Caterpiller plants, each feeds product to Morton and Morton ships it to the world.
used parts go to Corinth, Mississippi, where they are rebuilt.
There are three trucks to be loaded today. We;re number three. That means loading in the dark and rain. Swapped with Gene who will take 3 so we can leave earlier.
