Web server

WEB SERVER: The club has the use of a server which serves the ctrl-a.org Web pages as well as our mailing lists. The server appears to be literally under the table on the UW network - it lives under the desk of some UW staff member, on campus. I (Matt Skala) have never been able to get a straight answer on exactly where the computer is or (more importantly) who has access to it. I’m pretty sure that a bunch of non-club people, including Joe Chen and others I don’t know, have ultimate authority (root passwords, etc.) on the computer. See also Exec list.

As of February 2006, our web hosting has been moved to a more permanent location with GeekISP?. This was instigated by Conrad Clement. CTRL-A receives an invoice monthly to the ctrl-a <at> ctrl-a.org email from GeekISP?.
