Theis Rick

THEIS, RICK: The name “Theis” is pronounced “Tice”, to rhyme with “dice” and “mice”. FEDS Clubs Director - a paid, long-term position, so he’s probably more stable than the elected year-long FEDS executive positions. Attempts to exert tight control over all aspects of all clubs, although much of that is simply his implementation of FEDS’s micromanagement, rather than micromanagement on his own part. Generally reasonable, friendly, and helpful when talked to, although it’s wise to be prepared with rational arguments for whatever you want from him, and be prepared for him to raise issues with unexpected things you never would have thought FEDS would have any issue with. Also, watch out: he seems to operate on the assumption that all CTRL-A exec and officers are interchangeable and tell each other everything, so you can ask him a question and he’ll give the answer to someone else, and then he’ll be surprised when you ask “why haven’t you answered my question yet?”. He will sometimes set deadlines that aren’t really for real, and he doesn’t really expect to be met; it is probably a good idea to meet as many of them as possible, however.

As of January 2006, Rick Theis quit as Clubs Director, the role being passed on to Dave MacDougall?.

As of January 2007, Rick has since rejoined FEDS as an executive researcher.
