FEDS Clubs Package

FEDS CLUBS PACKAGE: Part of the FEDS micromanagement plan. At the start of each term, FEDS demands that we submit to them a "clubs package" consisting of a bunch of apparently random documents that changes from term to term. Typically, it's supposed to include a "to whom it may concern" letter from the term president saying that the club exists, a list of members (we have in past gotten away with submitting the previous term's membership list, since it's usually demanded before we have sold most of our memberships) including their physical street addresses and student numbers, a copy of the club's logo and constitution, a "Signing authority" form designating the two persons with FEDS signing authority, a form saying that we have read the Clubs Policy, a pair of Emiko-chan's underpants, and so on. Preparing this package should really be the External Relations Officer's job, but as of September 2004 it has usually been the President who actually did it. There is a lot of leeway on actual content of the Clubs Package, but it seems like a good idea to come as close to following the specification as is reasonable, and to meet the deadline if at all possible.

There is currently (Winter 2005) a collection of all the required documents (except a list of members), filled out, available on the desktop of CTRL-A's computer. For the most part, each new president need only change the name and date appearing on each document.

The clubs package checklist and many other useful documents are available online at http://feds.uwaterloo.ca/clubs/operateaclub.html
