What's on the table on #wiki today?

  1. Local names integration – individual or group, immediate or periodic?
  2. Automatic SVG-to-PNG conversion. Maybe use a 404 handler? :)

LionKimbro: I think that people who are serving pages with lots of local names, they'll probably want to install a LocalNameServer? on their computer, locally. Unless they have only one wiki instance running, or something like that- in which case, I guess you could build it into your wiki. But I think that we're headed towards lots of services running on a computer, and so I think people are just going to want to run their own LNS locally. Like what I have right now on http://services.taoriver.net:9090/. Because you don't want to resolve names across the network upon every page view.

Alex says that using Image Magick is not too great:

    /tmp $ convert test.svg test.png
    /tmp $ display test.png

The image is truncated at the right. :(

Lion says that InkScape has built into it a translator…
