So, I was looking at a [derogatory page] on WikiHumor? on the [DebianWiki], and I figured, hey, I can change this to have some funny wiki humor and stuff.

But then I couldn't think of anything.

Does wiki culture have in-jokes? Where's our sense of humor? What's funny about wiki? Where's the wiki JargonFile? Why don't we have one? What's different about wiki from other community-building architectures that we don't have this?

[new] Um, have you read WikiWiki? There's Wiki:EasternWuss, Wiki:EasterWuss, a lot of Wiki:PeterMerel's stuff like Wiki:JediMindTrick, superinjokes like "There are no WikiMasters,' Wiki:WikiCelebrities. A lot of RichardDrake stuff about himself. Also, "blogging is sadness", CryptoNaut, I'm a GodKing, etc. -- SunirShah

Indeed, I had some good times on WikiWiki. Here is the stuff I liked most:

  1. Eastern thought pages applying Zen and Taoism to programming
  2. Bla-in-a-minute pages introducing some topic in some weirdo cut-up summary
  3. Foo-language pages talking about programming languages because when geeks get together, talking about programming languages is what many of them enjoy doing (if you don't I guess you're not a geek)

So generally, the "jargon" has several aspects: Page naming conventions, and the particular fields we draw our inspiration from.
