Some people on this wiki recommend so-called CleanLinking – basically giving the link a name different from the pages it links to in order to make the text easier to read for people unused to wikis.
Some do not agree. Here are some of their reasons:
- Using the pagename as the linkname may make it easier for newcomers to understand how linking works.
- Using WikiNames alerts people to the fact that the link points to a page on the same wiki; this is important if many of the pages on the wiki act as a PatternLanguage. In this case the name of the pattern should stand out.
