CreativeCommons

MeatballDuplicate

CreativeCommons is an organization which is producing standardized copyright licenses to make it easy for people to allow others to reuse their work, while also making it easy for those looking for work to reuse (because the standardized licenses are easy to understand). They’re also doing things like making it easy to automatically make catalogs of content which has the standardized licenses.

You can search for Creative Commons-licensed content with either Yahoo or Google.

Example Usage

I had an idea for a little web comic, went to Flickr, searched for images under a ShareAlike? license, and within an hour of InkScape doodling, I was done. [1]

Pretty nice. Gotta try that too.
