These “tails” would shift position according to which one was last edited.
MattisManzel: This is getting interesting. Think about CommunityWikiGovernment and how the page has been humming recently. It feels like becoming a new wiki, one for our “gubment-stuff” only, doesn’t it? There have been several sub-pages sprouting on it, different threads on the topic. Especially for this in-between phase between a page and a new wiki (but not only for this phase) I’d recommend something I’m trying to find words for on day-page-sand-wiki: talk / 2006-12-18.
Someone has a better title for the thread?
Hopefully, we’ll have this thing completed by the end of the month. Christmas interrupts, though, so I hope it’s no later than the first week of January. Then I’ll be ready to talk about the things I care to talk about.
I’m super-eager to talk about things like WikiFacilitation, WikiProcess, ConversationProcess, LackOfReworking, and so on. I see day-page-sand-wiki: talk / 2006-12-18 as living within that general space.
But I’m resisting it until we get the CommunityWikiGovernment ratified. The government effort has only so much energy behind it, and it’s almost exhausted, at least in my mind. So it’s essential to close this soon.
Mattis, two questions:
My hope is that your answer to the first one is “Yes,” rendering the second unnecessary.
Yes. Sorry if I missed out to say so, was busy. I also accept to ratify first but remind on the fact that homo is multitaking even longer than macs are.
Well done the government, lion (‘n Bayle).
Multitasking: Any other opinions on this mid-january thing (wow, fast btw). To endorse the pre-christmas feeling of the children that will be gifted, I mean.
I’d also like this to be ratified. It might be the community needs more time though - let it so then, The efford cooks in the minds, that’s for sure anyhow and is by no way ever waisted. It’s present instead.
Oh! Well, if the community has patience for longer, then, …
Personally, I’m getting tired of talking about the Government day in day out. It’s exhausting.
I think that if we don’t “finish” it, it won’t be finished. So this compels me to work on it, mainly it, only it, until it’s done. If someone has another idea for a Roadmap, and establishing that progress is being made, I’m happy to hear it.
Is there any way for visitors and occassional contributors to help?
I think yes.
I think it will take longer than from now to the end of the 1st week in January for people who are on the voter list but who are not currently involved in the discussion to find time to state their concerns, and to have them addressed. I expect there will be some people who will not have time to even read the proposal until the end of the first week in January. It’s possible, though, that most people don’t care and will just tell us, do whatever.
btw, Mattis, I think your ideas on day-page-sand-wiki: talk / 2006-12-18 are great. This is especially good for a wiki that really wants to simplify things for newcomers. This is something that we were talking about in BarCampbank? Flashmeeting4. I am really interested in getting the conversation that Lion talks about aboe going. It may not change activities on CommunityWiki, but it worth talking about here, IMO, to think about some really good strategies ForFewAndMany.
